3/17/09 - Apple is announcing its iPhone 3.0 software/SDK today, and I'll be available for comment as soon as the press conference is over (journalists can call me at 703-788-3788 or email agreengart /at/ currentanalysis /dot/ com).

I've been on the road/catching up with reports over the past couple of weeks. Updated Company Assessments should be posted soon for Nokia, Samsung, and LG. There were also a couple of reports posted earlier this month:

bullet The Handset Vendor’s Guide to Surviving a Crumbling Economy (Revised Edition)
bullet LG VX9600 Versa Adds a Unique Form Factor to Verizon Wireless

I've also been busy preparing for CTIA (I'm a judge for the Emerging Technologies Awards, and I'm moderating the Mobile Device Update panel at the show) and, believe it or not, CES 2010 (I'm on the committee that submits/considers topics for the education sessions).

Finally, I got Apple's new iPod shuffle last week along with Apple's in-ear headphones. Formal reports on both products are not planned, but I do have thoughts on things handset vendors and CE manufacturers can learn from the new shuffle - both good and bad. Clients who are interested in talking to me about them should give me a call.
